WHAT ARE COOKIES?

  • _ga: Google Analytics cookie that enables the function of controlling unique visits. The first time a user accesses the website through a browser, this cookie will be installed. When the same user returns to the website using the same browser, the cookie will recognise them as the same user. Only if the user changes browser will they be considered a different user. It expires 2 years after the last update.

  • _gat: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. It is used to limit the request rate – limiting the collection of data on high-traffic websites. It expires 10 minutes after being set.
  • _gid: This cookie is associated with Google Analytics. It is used to distinguish users.

  • wordpress_test_cookie: technical cookie used by WordPress to check whether your browser can accept cookies. It expires at the end of the session.
  • wp-settings-*: technical cookie used by WordPress to store the user’s preferences. It expires 1 year after the last update.
  • wp-settings-time-*: technical cookie used by WordPress to save session data. It expires 1 year after the last update.
  • wordpress_logged_in_{hash}: technical cookie used by WordPress to manage the user authentication process. It expires at the end of the session.

  1. Select the Tools icon
  2. Click on Settings.
  3. Click on Show Advanced Options.
  4. In the “Privacy” section, click on Content settings.
    – Delete cookies: Click on All cookies and site data…
    – Do not allow cookies to be stored.
  5. Click on Clear browsing data (empty the cache).
  6. Close and restart the browser.

  3. In the “Browsing history” section, click on Delete browsing history on exit.
  4. Select Delete files.
  5. Select Delete cookies.
